Audition Details
- Date: August 22
- Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
- No Audition Fee!
What to Wear
- Solid color leotard with pink tights or black tights with a solid color shirt
- Ballet shoes
- Pointe shoes (if you have done pointe)
- Hair longer than shoulder-length should be pulled back into a bun
- Bring a water bottle
Weekly Class & Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals begin August 29 and will be held primarily on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. All Aspen classes will be included in company member tuition and will be held on Thursdays & Fridays.
Company Tuition
- $40/month — or $145 paid in full before October 1
- Dues include costumes, rehearsals, and all Aspen classes. Classes are optional but highly encouraged.
Choreography & Costumes
Aspen Ballet's winter production will feature original choreography tailored to our dancers, with an emphasis on:
- Strong storytelling and character work
- Classical ballet technique with expressive artistry
- Thoughtful partnering and ensemble staging suited to the cast
Costumes are included as part of company dues and will be designed to support both movement and character.
Company Expectations & Contract
Dancers joining Aspen Ballet Company for the winter season will be asked to agree to a simple contract outlining expectations, including:
- Regular attendance at rehearsals and company classes
- Clear communication about absences and conflicts
- Maintaining a respectful, focused environment in rehearsal (listening when directors are speaking, limiting side conversations, and supporting your fellow dancers)
- Professional conduct in studio spaces and at performances
Full contract details will be provided at or after auditions so you can review and ask any questions before committing.
